Apple was compelled to do some adjustments with iTunes in order to make it a formal feature of their latest creation, the iPad. This newest version 9.1 has been redeveloped with new unique features added: iPad Sync – which enables iPad to synch media like eBooks, Photos, Music and Audio Files available for the MAC and PC version iTunes, and also organize downloaded contents automatically with the iTunes Library. The iTunes 9.1 has a new setting feature where it allows automatic file conversion to 128-Kbit/s AAC songs that can also be synched with iPhones and iPods since this option was only for iPod Shuffle before.
Another bright feature that Apple added to the recently updated iTunes 9 is the upgraded Genius Mix auto-playlist creation. Previously, Genius Mixing, since automatically preset, a user has no control over it while it is playing, but now with iTunes 9, rearranging the generated playlist is a convenient option, plus the liberty to press next and previous buttons while the Genius Mixing is running.
With the iTunes 9.1 on an advanced touch screen computing tablet, the world of movie and music is simply instant. The 802.11n wireless adapters built in the iPad makes iTunes an avenue of discovering new music and even movies at wireless media downloads. Wherever, as long as Wi-Fi access grants you internet connection, iTunes 9.1 keeps you updated with what’s new and what’s hot in media preference. iTunes takes you to different stores with just the iPad in your hand where you can search from a wide selection of content downloads though the iTunes Store. It has preview options so you can check out something first before buying. While preview playing is as simple with just a tap, buying also, is a tap away from having what you want directly downloaded to your tablet. While the iTunes’ Genius keeps track of the most visited download sites and remembers it, it then posts it as store options each time you browse for more downloads. Also iTunes Store Genius recommends more options of the same category based on the common browsed sites, making it simpler everytime.
iTunes is not just about music and video, it also is a tool where the user can download some knowledge straight to the iPad. iTunes U allows you to connect to server sites of top universities, museums, and other cultural institution around the globe to download discussions, lectures and language lessons directly to the tablet. eBooks are also supported making you take a huge library of digital books in just your iPad.
iTunes on an iPad is the only application that can be played in the background. This feature although is limited to just iTunes, does gives you the luxury of music playing while you work with something else on the iPad. iTunes collapses to a mini player once closed. It runs completely invisible. Controls can be brought up by tap commands popping a lucent looking mini player with button controls to change or stop the music. This leaves no interruption for it collapses back with a tap without affecting the current running application.
iTunes 9.1 on iPad is merely an upgraded version with nothing much of a change. It was just re-developed so to fit the iPad’s orientation.
